Can my baby have peaches?
A quick, age-by-age answer with how to serve it safely. Checked against AAP, USDA WIC.
Most babies start solids around 6 months.
Ripe peach is a lovely early fruit once your baby is ready for solids.
How to serve: Wait for solids readiness.
Ripe peach, pit out, and you are done.
A ripe peach is soft enough for gums. The pit and hard underripe flesh are the only issues.
How to serve: Remove the pit. Serve ripe halves or wide slices for young babies, small pieces for toddlers. If it is too firm to dent with a finger, cook it soft or wait a day.
