Frequently asked

How do I cancel my subscription?

It depends where you subscribed, because that is who bills you. If you are not sure, open Profile in the app and tap Manage subscription. It sends you to the right place automatically.

If you subscribed on an iPhone or iPad:

  1. Open Settings on your device
  2. Tap your name at the top → Subscriptions
  3. Tap TinyPlateCancel Subscription

If you subscribed on Android:

  1. Open the Google Play Store
  2. Tap your profile iconPayments & subscriptionsSubscriptions
  3. Tap TinyPlateCancel subscription

If you subscribed on the web: open Profile in the app and tap Manage subscription to reach your billing portal, or email admin@tinyplate.app and we will cancel it for you.

However you cancel, you keep Pro until the end of the billing period you have already paid for. No refund for partial periods, but you can re-subscribe anytime later.

How do I delete my account?

From inside the app:

  1. Tap the profile icon
  2. Scroll to the bottom → Delete my account
  3. Walk through the confirmation steps

This permanently deletes everything tied to your account: children profiles, meal plans, pantry, allergen logs. It's not reversible.

Note: deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. Billing lives with whoever charged you: Apple, Google Play, or our web checkout. It is not held by your TinyPlate account. Cancel it first using the steps above, then delete the account, otherwise the subscription keeps renewing while it is no longer attached to a TinyPlate account.

What ages does TinyPlate support?

Babies and toddlers from 3 months through about 5 years. Before about 6 months, TinyPlate offers readiness and getting-started guidance, and any early solids should be introduced only on your pediatrician's recommendation. From 6 months on, we use age buckets:

Recipes are filtered to your child's exact age, so the same library reads differently to a 7-month-old and a 2-year-old.

Why don't I see a recipe I'm looking for?

The recipe library is growing. We're at 550+ recipes across 8+ cuisines today. If you want something specific:

Is TinyPlate medical advice?

No. TinyPlate offers meal ideas and food-safety guidance based on published pediatric sources (AAP, CDC, FDA, USDA, NIAID, EFSA, Solid Starts). It is informational, not medical advice.

Always consult your pediatrician for questions specific to your child, especially for allergen introductions in high-risk infants, family histories of food allergies, or any reaction beyond mild fussiness.

Why does the app ask for my child's birth date?

To compute their exact age in months, which drives:

We never share your child's birth date with anyone. See our Privacy Policy for the full data picture.

How does the AI weekly planner work?

The AI doesn't invent recipes. It picks from a pool of recipes that have been pre-validated for your child's age and known allergens, and assigns them to the week's slots based on your pantry, recent likes/dislikes, and cuisine variety.

Read more in our Privacy Policy, section on AI usage.

I logged a reaction by accident. How do I undo it?

Tap the allergen tile again. The action sheet has a "Mark as untried" option that wipes the exposure history for that allergen. The tile snaps back to the empty state.

Can I use TinyPlate on iPad?

There isn't a separate iPad app. TinyPlate runs on iPhone, Android, and web.

What platforms is TinyPlate available on?

TinyPlate runs on iPhone, Android, and web. The web app is at web.tinyplate.app.

What if my child has a medical emergency?

Call 911 (US) or your local emergency line immediately. Don't email us, don't open the app. Get medical help. After the immediate danger has passed, we're happy to help you log what happened in the app for your future reference.

Where's my data stored?

Supabase (our database provider), in US data centers. Encrypted at rest and in transit (HTTPS/TLS). You can delete your account anytime in the app (profile icon → Delete my account), or request a full data export by emailing contact@tinyplate.app with subject "Data Request"; we respond within 30 days as required by GDPR/CCPA.

Can I share my plan with another caregiver?

Not yet. Multi-user households are on the roadmap but not in v1. For now, sharing the plan via screenshot or the App Store recipe-share buttons works.
