Terms of Service

Effective May 30, 2026 · contact@tinyplate.app

By using TinyPlate ("the App") you agree to these terms. The plain-English version is below. Please read the Medical Disclaimer carefully, including the parts on allergies, choking, and assumption of risk. They matter most.

1. What TinyPlate is

TinyPlate is a meal-planning app that helps parents and caregivers of children aged 3 months to 5 years find age-appropriate, allergen-aware recipes based on what they have in their pantry. It applies food-safety rules drawn from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), Centers for Disease Control (CDC), USDA Dietary Guidelines, and NIAID allergen-introduction guidelines.

It is a helpful guide. It is not a pediatrician, a registered dietitian, a medical professional, or a medical device, and it does not provide medical advice.

2. Medical disclaimer: allergies, choking & your responsibility

TinyPlate provides information, not medical advice.

Every child is different. What is safe for most children may not be safe for yours. You must consult your pediatrician before introducing new foods, especially the top-9 allergens, and introduce new foods one at a time so any reaction can be identified.

Allergen filtering is not a guarantee. The App blocks recipes that match the allergies you enter, so it depends entirely on the accuracy of the information you provide. It cannot account for changed ingredients, manufacturing cross-contamination, or allergens outside its database. Always read full ingredient labels yourself before serving.

Choking is a serious risk. You are responsible for preparing and modifying every food to a texture appropriate for your individual child, for following safe-feeding practices, and for actively supervising your child during every meal.

Recipes not yet reviewed by a Registered Dietitian represent our best-faith application of public pediatric feeding guidelines. Treat them as suggestions to verify with your own pediatric professional, not as prescriptions.

Assumption of risk. Feeding infants and young children carries inherent risks, including choking, allergic reactions, and other adverse outcomes. By using the App you acknowledge these risks and voluntarily assume full responsibility for every feeding decision you make. To the fullest extent allowed by law, TinyPlate LLC and its members, managers, employees, and agents are not liable for any feeding decision made in reliance on the App, including allergic reactions, choking incidents, illness, or any other adverse outcome. Your pediatrician, not TinyPlate, is the source of truth for your child's diet.

3. Your account

4. Acceptable use

Don't do obviously bad things with the app:

If you violate these terms, we may suspend or delete your account.

5. Your content, our platform

You retain ownership of any content you enter (your child's name, pantry items, meal logs, notes). By using the App, you grant TinyPlate a non-exclusive license to store and process that content solely to provide the service to you.

We own the App's source code, the curated recipe database, the safety rules module, the design system, and the TinyPlate brand. Don't copy these without permission.

6. Changes to the service

Features may change, be added, or be removed as we improve the App. We'll give reasonable notice for breaking changes that affect you.

7. Pricing & subscriptions

TinyPlate offers a free tier with limited features and paid subscription plans (TinyPlate™ Pro) that unlock the full experience. Current pricing is disclosed in the App and on the App Store.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time, right from inside the app: tap the profile icon, then Delete my account. This permanently removes your account and all data tied to it. We delete the data within 7 days; backups purge within 30 days. We may terminate or suspend accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice.

9. Disclaimers of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose, and we disclaim the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose to the fullest extent allowed by law. Use it at your own risk, especially given the medical-adjacent nature of the content.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total liability of TinyPlate LLC and its members, managers, employees, and agents to you for any claim related to the App is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, special, or punitive damages, including lost data, lost profits, or any injury or adverse health outcome arising from a feeding decision. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TinyPlate LLC and its members, managers, employees, and agents from and against any claim, loss, liability, damage, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the App; (b) any feeding, dietary, or health decision you make in reliance on the App; (c) information you provide, including inaccurate birth-date or allergy data; (d) your violation of these Terms; or (e) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.

12. Dispute resolution, arbitration & governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

Informal resolution first. Before starting any formal proceeding, you agree to email contact@tinyplate.app describing the dispute and to allow 30 days for us to try to resolve it.

Binding arbitration. If we can't resolve it informally, you and TinyPlate agree to resolve any dispute by binding, individual arbitration seated in New Jersey, administered by a nationally recognized arbitration provider under its applicable consumer rules, rather than in court. Either party may still bring a qualifying claim in small-claims court.

Class-action waiver. Disputes will be handled only on an individual basis. You and TinyPlate each waive any right to bring or participate in a class, collective, consolidated, or representative action.

13. Severability & entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, it will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will stay in full effect. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and TinyPlate regarding the App and supersede any prior understanding.

14. Changes to these terms

We'll update this page when terms change. The effective date above will update. If a change materially affects your rights, we'll notify the email on your account. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the new terms.
